Ruby Hall

Music Teacher Harmony Road Oregon

Ruby Hall has been a true patron of the arts for sixteen years with experience in several departments of the artistic world. A Utah native, raised in a very cultural home with a family that embraced the joys of music and dance assisted her growth as an artist. She started Taking piano lessons at age five and studied with Merla Little for twelve years. During this portion of her musical education she developed fundamental skills such as: performance experience, collaborating with other students, music theory, and ear training.

At the age of eight she began taking flute lessons under the instruction of Karen Perkins and she continued as Karen's student for nine years. Karen's studio taught her a lot about improvisation, and great teaching techniques for younger students. From 2012-2016 she was enrolled as a student at the University of Utah studying piano performance under the instruction of steinway artist, Vedrana Subotic. These four years provided her with further knowledge of music history, music theory, musicianship, accompanying, composing, analytical writing, and teaching.

Harmony Road music school is one of her current work places where she is gaining experience teaching group classes. The Harmony Road certification process helped her develop the knowledge, guidelines and practices of the Harmony Road method, she is thrilled to be part of such an amazing program. Ruby is very passionate about being an active member in the music community and will always strive to provide quality education for her students.

Each of us has two native languages.
Both are learned early...both stay with us for a lifetime.
One is music. This is why a music education is important
